What materials do you accept?

Items Accepted As Drop Off or in Carts for Pick-Up

-Aluminum/metal cans: Emptied and rinsed (Labels do not have to be removed)

-Cardboard: Any and all corrugated boxes including pizza boxes(no food in box) flatten for better storage and volume reduction

-Glass bottles and jars: Emptied and rinsed, lids/tops removed

-Mixed Paper: Includes newspaper, office paper, cereal/food boxes, phone books, magazines, books, junk mail, and more

-Plastics: #1 PETE, #2 HDPE & 3-7 (this includes drink bottles, milk jugs, detergent bottles, butter tubs, and all other plastic containers (lids and labels accepted). Leave lids/caps ON

-Shredded paper should be placed in a “clear” plastic bag


Items Accepted As Drop Off ONLY at 5875 Riverdale Dr. Jamestown, NC

-Electronics (virtually anything with a plug except household appliances)

-Sharps in approved sharps containers 


The following items will not be accepted:

-Blinds or other household items

-Bubble wrap

-Foil

-Garbage or yard waste in recycling carts

-Garden hoses or extension cords

-Household hazardous waste

-Light bulbs

-Needles (unless in approved sharps container and dropped off at designated drop off)

-Paints or construction materials

-Plastic bags (recycle at store)

-Shoes

-Styrofoam

-Window glass
