[ARCHIVED] Register today for Scottish Traditions 18th Century Faire

Join our Ulster/Lowlander and Highlander Scots families in early North Carolina as they prepare to celebrate and enjoy Scottish traditions and New Year's celebrations. Although Scots did not celebrate Christmas in the 18th century, they DID - and still DO - celebrate Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) in a very big way!

Enjoy seeing traditional Hogmanay dishes made over an open fire with the sounds of a Celtic fiddle or a Scottish bagpipe in the background. Chat with a traditional flax spinner, a 3-needle knitter, and see traditional Highlander textiles and fashions on display. Get ready for the end of year festivities by coming in costume! Free to the public.
Reservations for timed entries required. Each time slot only allows five households/group (with max. of 6 people for each household/group).
