Our building may be closed, but our WiFi is more accessible than ever before! In response to an increased need for publicly available internet in our community, we have now extended our wireless internet connection to every corner of our parking lot. Additionally, our WiFi can be used even outside of normal Library hours, when Library staff are not in the building.
When staff are in the building, you’ll also once again be able to use our WiFi printing services to print up to 15 pages per day at no charge. Simply submit your document to https://www.printeron.net/hppl/main-branch or email it to ligenres@gmail.com, then follow up with a call to 336.883.3641 and we’ll bring your print down to the Library’s drive-thru window for you to pick up. (You can call 336.883.3641 at any point in the process if you encounter printing issues.)
This WiFi "hotspot" capability is available to everyone, and you do not need a Library card to connect; all users will be redirected to a Terms of Service page when you first connect, where you must agree to follow the Library's internet usage rules before proceeding to other websites. If you have connectivity issues, please call 336.883.3661 during regular Library hours.
We hope this new internet availability and our continued WiFi printing can help you stay connected at the library—even without leaving your car!
