HIGH POINT, NC (March 31, 2017) The High Point Museum Guild continues their informative series of programs on the history of the Greater High Point area on Wednesday, April 5 at 10 am at the High Point Museum. This program is free and open to all.
Gwynn Thayer, Associate Head and Curator of Special Collections at North Carolina State University (NCSU) Libraries, and Lindsey Naylor, a student in the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the College of Design at NCSU, will be discussing the R.D. Tillson, High Point landscape architect, drawings donated by the High Point Historical Society to the special collection.
The Landscape Architecture Archive at NCSU collections include the papers, drawings, and records of top landscape architecture firms in the state and region as well as award-winning landscape architects.
April is World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM), an international celebration of landscape architecture.
The Museum Guild welcomes new members to join and support the High Point Museum. Annual dues are $25 which helps to fund wonderful programs which are free except for the field trips as well as other Museum projects and exhibits.
The High Point Museum, a division of the High Point Public Library, is dedicated to sharing Greater High Point’s history, providing perspective for current issues, and strengthening the sense of community.
