Police Initiative
In February of 2010, the Police Department conducted a Focused Deterrence Initiative for the Washington Street area, resulting in a much more peaceful, stable neighborhood. The association was actively involved in the initiative, attending the call-in and assisting police with area canvassing/information events since then. Major areas of interest for the association are crime reduction, and access to services, information and capacity-building resources.
