City Lake Park
The renovation of City Lake Park is recommended in the Comprehensive Master Plan adopted in December 2018. The park was originally built in the 1930s as part of the Works Progress Administration. Renovations include the gym building to a new meeting and event center. Pool renovations to be family-focused provide an additional water slide, lazy river, zero depth entry pool, 50 Meter pool, and a splash pad. Park improvements include additional parking, accessibility improvements, a new outdoor stage, and green space. Finally, a pedestrian bridge connecting City Lake Park to the High Point and Bicentennial Greenway over City Lake will be constructed.
