Community Development & Housing
Welcome!
The City of High Point's Community Development and Housing Department (CD&H) is committed to providing its customers the highest level of service and a broad range of opportunities. Recognizing that neighborhoods cannot be strengthened simply with "sticks and bricks," the Department implements a diverse but coordinated mixture of programs ranging from affordable housing activities to public services for neighborhood improvement to community capacity-building.
CD&H is responsible for program administration, implementation, monitoring, compliance and evaluation of activities and projects funded, primarily through the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). Annually, the City of High Point receives federal funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) programs to carry out activities benefiting the citizens of High Point.
