Human Relations Humanitarian Award

Nomination of individuals for the HUMAN RELATIONS HUMANITARIAN AWARD shall be evaluated by the HRC based on the following criteria:

  • The nominee’s contributions made during the previous year(s) that benefited traditionally underrepresented individuals and diverse groups.
  • The nominee’s promotion of equity through his/her work with their employer, faith-based institution, civic group(s), and/or community organizations.
  • The nominee is committed to promoting understanding, respect, equity and goodwill among all citizens.

The High Point Human Relations Commission Humanitarian Award was created to honor an individual who, during his or her lifetime, has made a significant contribution to human relations in High Point. The award will be presented during the City’s Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration.   

List of previous award recipients; individuals recognized within the past five years are ineligible.
