PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD OPEN FOR DRAFT WATER SHORTAGE RESPONSE PLAN
North Carolina General Statute§ 143-355(1) requires each unit of government that provides water service to the public to update its water shortage response plan (WSRP) periodically. All WSRPs are required to be submitted to the Department of Environmental Quality and must also be adopted by each unit's governing board. A 30-day public comment period is required before the High Point City Council can adopt the plan at their September 18, 2023, meeting.
The public may view the draft water shortage response plan in the Public Service Department office,
