We’re Making History Together 

As the repository for High Point history, we want to preserve pieces of this historic moment in time, so that generations from now High Pointers will understand what this period was like, and what we were feeling, thinking, seeing, and doing when everything seemed to shut-down. In order to represent the full range of experiences in our community, we need your help. We invite you to participate in the High Point COVID-19 Experience Project. Facebook Group
Please join our Facebook Group and share your stories. The focus of the group is the greater High Point community and our COVID-19 experiences. Please share your stories, pictures, and videos with us to help inspire and encourage each other and leave a record for future High Pointers.  

Oral history 
We are collecting oral histories from High Pointers during this pandemic to tell our community’s story in real time and save them for future research. Please contact us if you are interested in being interviewed or suggest someone we should interview.

We want to add items to our collection to document the variety of ways High Pointers are experiencing, reacting, and adapting to this extraordinary time. We are looking for things that represent how we continue to work, communicate, learn, teach, play, celebrate, worship and mourn during this pandemic. Many families are spending more time at home together than usual right now. You may want to talk with each other about how you are feeling and reacting to this historic event. There are many ways you can record your experience for future generations of your own family. Take photographs, fill out the time capsule workbook, journal, create pieces of art, dance, do anything to express yourself. By submitting content using this form, you grant the High Point Museum (HPM) and High Point Historical Society (HPHS) non-exclusive (shared), royalty-free license to preserve, modify, and share your content for public research, educational use, exhibits, and publication, including in print or online, and you consent to your name being used in association with the content. Further, you guarantee that any content you submit is content that you or your minor children have created.  

The HPM and HPHS reserves the right to select which materials to keep and preserve. Materials that are duplicative, inappropriate, or outside the scope of this project will not be retained.  You must be 18 years old or older to submit content.
